Initial state before optimization. Uniform distribution of microstructure (left). Non-uniform luminance distribution (right).

Intermediate state of optimization. Non-uniformity appears on microstructure distribution.

Result of optimization: Luminance distribution shows near uniformity.

Microstructure distribution before (left) and after (right) optimization.
This software provides the possibility of automatic optimization for shapes and distributions of objects*1. It allows designers to reach their goals faster by automatically shaping and arranging such objects as reflectors, lenses and microlenses formed on surfaces of a light guide plate.
Applications
The following objects can be designed:
- Microlens distribution on surfaces of a light guide plate
- Interval between prisms of a prism sheet
- Shape of lenses covering an LED chip
- Reflector shape for various kinds of lighting fixtures
Features
- Fast processing by dividing it into preprocessing and optimization process
- Arbitrary user-defined state as a goal of optimization
- Arbitrary user-defined initial state of optimization
- Initiating optimization for the project designed manually before
- Acceleration of the optimization process using multiprocessing*2
