Measurement Service

The focus of our measurement service is on the simulation, design, analysis and production of devices and materials that interact with light. The measurement service enables you to obtain measured data for the following subjects:

• Optical properties
• Emitting properties
• Surface profile

The result of the measurement can be directly used in our software products for the simulation of light, illumination and various optical phenomena. You can also use the result of the measurement for your own study where none of our software products and services are involved.

Optical properties

The optical properties we can measure are reflectance, transmittance and refractive index. For the reflectance and transmittance, two different forms of measurement results are available: total value and the directional distribution known as BRDF/BTDF.

Emitting properties

For the objects emitting light, we can provide the measurement of angular luminous intensity distributions, total luminous flux and spatial luminance distributions. The examples of light emitters that can be measured are such light sources as LED, CCFL and emitting surfaces like OLED. Both near- and far-field measurements can be made.

Surface profile

In addition to the properties related to light, we can provide the measurement of surface profile, or surface micro-bumps, that also characterizes light scattering on the surface. The measurement uses either a contacting or a non-contacting surface profiler.
